Walter, nice shot that you turned into a beautiful painting. The Shade creates a nice frame to the curving path into the garden. I like the painting effect very much. I think we share the same interest of creating digital paintings from shots. I am fairly new to this and would appreciate if you share some of you methods.

C'est intéressant la manière dont vous avez fait cette photo. J'aime bien l'idée de cette embrasure de porte. Bravo c'est bien fait...

Hi Walter, welcome to TL. I am glad to find fellow "painters" here. With a bit of luck we can exchange tricks and tips and maybe get better. I find the painting in your post excellent, but there could have been a little less black in my opinion, and the angle is funny. But I guess that also makes it interesting. It certainly makes one look twice.
Oh yes, and please add some notes on how you did it - and with which tools.

I like this very much Walter. The framing by the shadows is great and I like the interesting shape created by the light. Welcome to TE, great first shot.

Like a picture from a thrilling boys-book.
Very nice done here, great shot with good details !

I like the composition of this a lot..a nice natural frame. The lighting looks great as well, I would be curious to see the non edited version of this..
