[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
During my holiday in Belgium I saw my two nephews again (after more then 3 years). Well they live on the Dominican Republic and I live in China.
But then of course we went to the zoo and had lots of fun. If you're ever in Belgium don't forget to visit Plankendael but don't do it during a holiday. It's a pretty big park/zoo where the animals have space to run around.
I guess this fellow has the first price in posing for me.
Have a happy Tuesday
David

I have never had any luck photographing otters - they move so fast I seem to miss them!!
Good shot David, his whiskers and face are well captured - BRAVO!
Janice

Hi David,
Excellent sharp image of this otter. Also very well positioned in the image, nicely out of the centre which makes it an attractive picture.

Great portrait, very interesting moment, good sharpness and colors, and I like the good bokeh in the background

Hi David,

Wat een guitig koppie hebben ze toch - best moeilijk om die natte lijfjes te fotograferen.

Heel mooi otterportret - hoop dat je ook veel familiekiekjes hebt kunnen maken!

What a wonderful shot of this amazing animal, David. I love to watch the otters play and roll, with their little hands so human like. This is sharp with beautiful natural colour and very fine details. I love his wet look that shows of the fur so well. He is a sweetie. Well done.
Warm Regards
Wanda

Nice animal portrait - sharp details, good tonal range and a classic composition. Super stuff!

David, I'd use shadows & highlights on this one; that would darken the backdrop which I find a wee bit distracting. Still, the little fish-otter is perfectly captured. I like it that he's not directly looking into the lens, and your compo is very effective.

Geweldig plezante look !
Die snorharen ... het lijkt wel of ie in een stekelvarken
heeft gebeten :-)

Kleur, compositie en DOF vind ik mooi.
Voor mij had zijn lijf iets scherper mogen zijn.

Hi David. Beautiful clarity and you caught a real emotional-looking expression on this wet face. The glint in his eye makes it excellent animal shot. The 300mm lens(?) did a very good job in your hands. TFS. Murray.

The otter is one of my favorite animals because it always seems to be having fun.
Nice sharp face features, good selective focus and good composition with him looking into the space you have created. TFS. Karin
