Prachtige plaat! Hier kun je inderdaad een mooi verhaal bij verzinnen. Je titel is dan ook goed bedacht! Technisch ook fijn, hoewel het witte hemd van de linker jongen wat OE is. Niettemin een perfecte compositie!

Hi Frank, I do like your Black and White photo here... it works really well on this photo.. it kinda looks like its been taken back in time..(you know in the good old days, :-)...1960 something!)..beautiful sunny day, two guys fishing, no worries, all good fun..the sun just kept shining, and life just ticked along rather nicely... thats what I feel when I look at this photo. :-)

When I first joined TL I was not a huge fan of b&w, however I have grown to appreciate them much more! This is very well done, and I do prefer the b&w to the color version. A nice mood, and a comical title. TFS

Hi Frank,

Dawn's "no worries" describes your picture well.
Nice and relaxing sunny atmosphere, OE op zijn hemd maakt mij niet uit, het is dan overduidelijk een zonnige dag.
Soms is het wel mooi om B&W te gebruiken, leuk voor de afwisseling ook. En als je heel artistiek, of heel tijdloos iets wil neerzetten werkt het ook prima.

Well B&W certainly keeps your mind on the subject that image is attempting to portray and seems pretty effective to me when I compare the WS to the posting.
Good work, at least they got some sun if not any fish, and I hear that's what it's about most of the time anyway. ;)

Zou er precies meer contrast insteken
( dat is de balk in m'n eigen oog niet zien )

Je compositie spreekt me niet zo aan : zo nog een afgesneden biezeke vegetatie.
POV : zak eens lekker ( meer ) door ?
Inderdaad je stond bovenaan een helling.

Hallo Frank,
Idee, titel en zwartwitbewerking werken goed voor mij. Ook de door iemand aangehaalde overbelichting in de witte T-shirt stoort me hier niet.
Alleen heb ik, net als Jan(neman), een probleempje met de compositie. De tegenstelde oever hoefde er écht niet op. Je ziet er te weinig van en dat stoort IMO. Ofwel had je meer moeten tonen (mocht dat al mogelijk zijn geweest), ofwel maar beter niets.
En zoals steeds: just my opinion, feel free to (dis)agree ;o).

Fijn om het in zwart wit te posten. Ik had een beetje van de linker kant afgeknipt om wat meer evenwicht te geven. Fijne compo.

The composition of all of your shots is terrific Frank. Again here, perfect placement of the two - and I like how your use of space emphasises how closely they're sitting together, it adds the 'awww' factor to the shot - which is that invaluable intangible!

Your title makes me smile Frank , it tells the little story behind the scene , tech wise it's as good as it can be : the placement of your fishermen is great and i appreciate the thin band of grass at the top , sure puts the size of the pond in the know : it's pretty small ! No reason not to shoot in B&W, versus the color one in the WS ,i prefer this one if you want to know,, lol,

A good composition and the picture definately has more impact as a b&w shot than as colour - the fishermen definately stand out more from the water.
