Your right its not a balanced image..except the top right hand corner, that matches perfectly and pulls the whole view into perspective. Superb colour which happens to be my favourite so I am also naturally drawn to the image. Nice sharp detail and effective framing.. its just.. different and very effective.

I like it too.... I think it is because my favorite color is blue. I also like how the reflection in the window is somewhat distorted. One can't quite tell the exact details. Very mysterious mood.

Hi Frank,
Yup, odd but cool. ;) The blue is certainly attention getting and the architecture and details, once over the blue, are quite interesting as well.
All the angles play nicely, although I do find myself wishing for a bit more on top of the blue windows, just to kind of set a reference for all the other looks.
Not a huge quibble though and generally made up for by the sharp details and nice play of light from shaded to bright.

Moeilijke foto voor mij Frank.
Wat me inderdaad opvalt, en aangenaam om naar te kijken,
zijn de blauwe kleuren, zachte kleuren, ...
zoals je zelf aangeeft.
Om ze verder te begrijpen moet ik terugvallen op
enerzijds mijn ervaring én de, in het kort, verworven vaardigheden. (°)
Ik beschouw het blauw als het " verlangen "
- dat in elk van ons huist -
welke in toom moet gehouden worden door de pijlers.
Niet echt gevang, eerder beperking, " tot hier en niet verder "
Geschraagd en welgebouwd om de krachten op te vangen
en te laten wegvloeien.
Gevestigde waarden zeg maar, welke op hun beurt hun wortels hebben in de oude gevestigde waarden - het schild.
De stille blikvanger, ontzag, gezag.
Ik wil het hier bij houden ...
( krijg er zelf kiekevlees van ! )
Laat dit schild nu juist boven een zwart gat hangen :
ga je verder graven in van die " waarden " dan kan het
ferm beginnen stinken.
Je weet nooit wie er meeleest.
Als kleine belegger die z'n aandelen dan maar in de fik steekt
zouden ze je nog kunnen pakken op CO2 vervuiling
Boete betalen ... je weet hoe dat gaat ...
om infeite een deel van je eigen put te dempen.

Ben ik weer één van m'n kwaliteiten aan het benutten ...

Ik kon al lullen maar, nu lijkt het, op 't eerste gezicht,
wel echt !
Binnen een paar jaar word ik misschien wel geciteerd.
Heb dan waarschijnlijk niks geproduceerd.
( maar wie ligt daar wakker van ... )
In ieder geval ik heb me nu geamuseerd.
Dat rijmen ligt me ook wel.

Hi Frank,

OE en UE, lijkt me allemaal geen probleem. De details, kleuren en textures zijn prachtig.
Waar ik geen idee van hebt, is waarom je niet recht ervoor bent gaan staan - geen plaats in de hal wellicht? Hier krijg ik de neiging om het plaatje recht te zetten, maar dat is gewoon een gevoel.

Frank , i can understand why you 're not 100 percent sure why you like this shot , first i admire your telling about its flaws , yes there are , IMO unless framed at the right angle in the first place it 's now impossible to straighten this back to perfect symmetry and for that matter obviously compo-wise it could be better , well then what draws the eye into this scene 2 things do the trick so to speak , one is the peculiar blue color of the nicely lit windows ( it jumps at you ) and second the play of shadows and light on the marble around them . That is what still makes it interesting to look at ,
Not a bad picture at all !

This is one of those pictures that you know isn't quite right (for all the reasons you've already pointed out) but still you are drawn to look at - the contrast between the window frames and the blue sky is striking and there are so many shapes and patterns that you can't but help look through the picture to try to find just one more point of interest. Well spotted, well taken, and most importantly well done in not applying too much PP work to make it "perfect"
