[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Do you have a son or daughter that isn't, what you might call, a cooperative subject? I do. It is extremely difficult to get a shot without him making funny faces or "overacting".

The day after I got my D90, I tried it out with an old Tamron SP 70-210 3.5/4.5 I bought back in the eighties to see what I could get out of it. We were sitting at the kitchen table after lunch and I took several shots of him at about a meter away. And God willing, hence the title, I actually got something that isn't half that bad! Could be worse! Go figure!

Avez-vous un enfant difficile a photografier d'une manière convenable? Moi j'en ai un! Il est presque impossible de l'avoir sans grimaces ou comédie. Le jour suivant l'achat de mon D90, je testais une vieille Tamron SP 70-210 3.5/4.5 des années '80. Assis dans la cuisine après déjeuner, j'ai pris quelques clicks de lui à approx. 1 mètre. On ne gagnera jamais de concours avec cette foto, mais quand même, elle me plait bien...

and oh, yes, can I sympathize. I have three grandsons who RUN when I get my camera out. This is an exceptional portrait. Very nice focus, natural color and lovely light in the eyes. And I LOVE freckles. I like the nice tight crop, too. Well done! Many thanks and kindest wishes,
