Wonderful idea for a photo. I like the shadow in the back, although if it was angled more it would have been even better. Regardless, I like the shadow of the knight piece and the ground for it. TFS!

Nice idea, but I think it needs more work, especially in view of the very good equipment you have available for control.
Maybe a lot more or a lot less DOF.
