Howdy peeps,

Rob and I spent our weekend in Leuven (Belgium)...
A real paradise for photographers I must say!!
What a lovely city that is! Great old buildings and lovely streets and.... very, very friendly people!

As we were walking the streets of Leuven I saw this small alley. Lots of mail was sticking out of the mailboxes and immediately I thought of the phrase "you've got mail"... I sometimes see that message pop up on my collegues screen...

Hope you like this view too.
I cropped the image and added quite a bit of light, since this image was taken somewhere around the time it would get dark...

Cheers!
Anneke

Zeker een studentenhuis Anneke, iederéén is naar mams voor een goed maal en de was.

They've got a lot of mail - weekend junk mail probably....

Must have been lovely walking through these streets paved with cobble stones, old walls seeing those wall irons and nice bright paint job, seems more like Greece or Portugal.

No snow in your image of “you’ve got Mail’ like one I posted long ago, Anneke. I love the blue’s here and the wonderful angle you have used. I am very impressed with how well we can see the textures to everything. You have adjusted the light perfectly. Love the humour.
Warmest Regards
Wanda

Prachtig ouderwets plaatje, Anneke. Mooi van kleur en scherpte, en inderdaad een grappig gezicht die brievenbusjes.
Goeie tip, ga ik ook eens 'doen', naar Leuven.
groeten,
Joop!

merhaba dear Anneke...
Beautiful colors and detail...selamlar

Definitely junk mail Anneke, a lot of ours finishes up blowing around the garden. I love the colours you achieved in the lower light and the image well cropped.

Hi Anneke,
Wow, that's a funny composition from Leuven, I like the architecture and the deep blue colour of the door. Actually I hate these types of advertising brochures, just distract my attention of important mail in the box. :)
Anyway, good presentation, well done! TFS.
Cheers!

Hoi Anneke,

Wat een gezellige, rommelige boel. Het komt allemaal niet zo nauw. Ik denk dat de bewoners, studenten, allemaal ergens op t internet zitten te surfen, ze hebben die brochures allemaal niet nodig...
goed gezien.

He Ennie,
Had deze toch bijna gemist! Een prachtig tafreeltje uitstekend vastgelegd. Geen OE, maar wat wil je ook met zulke professionele spullen! :-)

Hello Anneke,

I laughed when I saw this!
You can imagine this small cobbled street having its own dustcart to remove the waste paper!

Lovely details taken from a nicely angled viewpoint. You've cheered my day!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Anneke,
Great daily living shot. Someone is not picking up that mail! Well seen with a good POV.
Well composed with lovely colour and definition.

Greetings Anneke
Found this interesting image in you gallery - my first visit. PP work was very effective - love the humor - stuffed mail box. Inclusion of the old bike is a wonderful touch. Hope to visit again.

Added this image to my D300 theme.

Hello Anneke!

A good application of the rule of thirds here. The square format is also very well used here.

Looking at the various mail boxes , either some guys forgot their keys, or some people are very aggressive. In any case it seems in Belgium or Canada, there is too much junk mail distributed daily ( and I am not talking about the mail we receive in our Outlook Box LOL !)

Cheers!
Robert
