This is a picture of the belfry of Aalst, the city hall itself is the oldest of the Benelux.
You can see the words "NEC SPE - NEC METU" what means "not by hope, not by fear". This was the motto of King Filips II.

dag eddy,dit is een prachtige foto met mooi perspectief (is niet hetzelfde als scheef staan hé);
mooie pastelkleuren in de architectuur en in de lucht en mooi en sober omlijst.
had mij al afgevraagd wat die spreuk betekende, dus voor mij ook een goede note.
