No Regrets

Wouldn’t it be a nice world
if we had no regrets
for the things we do,
but that is not the case,
our conscience says that will not do,
so we carry the baggage
for things we’ve said or done.
The most regrets we have
is when we hurt a loved one,
it’s always in the heat of the moment
and we say and do a lot of things
that we would normally never do.
Then our conscience pricks us
and asks why did we do that,
another regret for the baggage
that we all carry around.
