Here, you see a composition of two different pictures.
It was difficult to create the shadows.
I used a duplicate layer of the horse for the shadow, and filled the selection into black.
Then, I changed the visibility of that layer to < 50%. With the 'free transform' tool, I flattened the shadow on the grass and road.
The head and the first legs of the horse were darkened with the burn-tool, for a better effect of the shadow of the tree.

What a good job you have done to join those two shots and to fill in the shadow of the horse and carriage. I am impressed, beutiful composition.
Very impresive, the details of the shadow very well done and excellent composition.
