I found that yellow line " striking "
an original way to say " you'll be gone in a while ".

Tech :

Decided to keep only three colour elements in the photo.
The " why " is my fun - you like it or not :-)
More important to me : does it tell anything ? ...

Tried to give the photo the best possible frontal view.
It was taken a bit under an angle, so I had to crop it
after using the lens correction filter.
Set white point to balance the (B/w) contrast in general and saturated the colours.
( all three ... hihi )
Resized and sharpen it for TL

Hope you like it.

Greetings
Jan

You're back again are you? Talk about the return of the prodigal son !! Shall I kill the fatted calf :D
Seriously -- great PP work -- it looks so stark and forbidding -- gives me the shivers

hi Jan
I like this simple but very effective composition
tonal range and the clarity is excellent. Everything is well placed in the frame.
Greetings from Serbia, Bane

Hier zie, de Jan zie ;o)).
I can understand the "why" of the yellow line, and also the no-way traffic sign. I see no functionality, however, for the yellowish few stones of the wall on the right hand side. Ok, the building is not marked, will remain standing while the others are being demolished... but does it add to the compo here? IMO not, Jan... and I definitely would have cropped to just above the roof edge of the rightmost building, to avoid the roof there.
Just my 2 cents, of course. Opinions differ ☺

Mooie foto zo.

TFS en prettig weekend,
Els

Nicely subtle - the yellow stripe, the red sign and the orange bricks all work well.

Hi Jan,
I tend to agree with Dingo on the one particular point where he mentions the brick wall to the far right being unnecessary ( true , it distracts more than it helps in this compo ) but the idea is in all evidence what makes the shot interesting and the choice of medium is clear : no B&W here ( you need to show the yellow band that says so much to the viewers ), good vertical lines perpendicular to the sides of the frame which i always prefer to converging ones , not a bad view either, frontal and direct this way you get the message through , Cool job Jan ,
Good observation and delivery my friend ,
Cheers,
Carol
