| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A Murguista is a member of a MURGA, a kind of musical theatre that originated in South-America but which is becoming popular in other parts of the world also (follow the link for more information). Each group has his own style, in general festive and colourful.
At the event I mentioned in the previous post, the Murga "Amour Gaga" - which could be translated as "crazy love" - were the great entertainers. Each member apparantly could make their own choice in outfit, this one was one of the most original (IMO). Apart from the outfit, the girl was a very lively and enthousiast dancer. So lively that most of my action shots in which she appeared were blurred. Luckily she obliged to have her picture taken while they awaited their second performance. A co-member of the group rubbed her goose-skinned arms warm (temperatures were very disappointing for mid-may), hence the motion-blur of the rubbing hands (even @ 1/200sec. !).
Brightened the picture in PS with autolevel.
