It happens to me too and I can't understand this ...

Ok, first I have to say I'm not sure about the big writing .
Than I'll congratulate you for great noisy impromptu that I can hear almost. Impressive !

Hi dear Erik,
I'm the one from those 60 :))) But, my reason to not leave comment last night is totally different...I was too tired to write on English (it would be much better on my native,serbian ) ...so I left this comment for morning (ok,it's almost 11am)....but.....In early morning I feel something like you've said in your picture...There is great sentence on Serbian...Da li da se umijem ili da se ubijem ( Something like...Do I wash my self,or kill my self )....and Da li da ustanem ili da odustanem ( Do I get up ,or give up )....

Soooo, you've made , again, great,provoking and so very thoughtful picture...I love it (and it is not because of naked skin ;)))

Pas mal ce cadrage un peu décalé avec la zone noire à gauche : original et cela donne une ambiance "affiche". Le grain n'est pas trop fort et donne une belle impression de petit matin brumeux (le matin, je vois pas mieux que ça !). "Wake up, stand up" aurait pu aussi être un titre. Quant au peigne, il joue très bien son rôle. Il fait un pied de nez aux insupportables pubs pour les shampoings, et apporte une certaine dérision.
Merci pour ce petit bout d'humanité.

Ok ... this is a well-put-together shot. The light is beautifully managed, as is the composition, and the pose. The frame is unusual but works well in my opinion, although the copyright message doesn't sit so well.

The added noise/grain is certainly eyecatching.

It doesn't surprise me that there have been so many views and so few comments. Although androgynous from the thumbnail, particularly with the ommitted face of your subject, it becomes evident that this is a male implied nude. The presentation of the shot, however, is more typical of female implied-nude art. The physique of your subject, too, is somewhat asexual.

I won't go into extensive speculation, but if you combine the lack of male figure art in media, the somewhat conservative male-dominated TL patronage, and add a dash of homophobia, the lack of feedback isn't a surprise.

TL is a great place to learn about photography. It generally isn't a great place to experiment outside the norms of sunsets, flowers, insects and pretty girls, as I have learned also.

Kudos for sharing this, you have done well.

Die kam is schitterend :) Het geheel geeft inderdaad dat rottige morgengevoel weer na een nachtje met weinig slaap.

Ik had misschien iets minder ruis toegevoegd - hoewel...je zou kunnen zeggen dat het net dat vervelende gevoel nog versterkt ;-)

Goed omkaderd.

Ik ga het nog eens proberen Erik ...
het is al lang geleden dat ik nog actief geweest ben.

Ieder uiteraard zijn voorkeur, maar ik vraag me toch af wat de meerwaarde is om bijna 1/4de van het totale plaatje
gewoon zwart te laten. Dat is gewoon zonde.
Voor mij (!) is dat als sexy lingerie ...
overbodig want ik kijk enkel naar het plaatje.
Je subtiele "cpw" had misschien vertikaal gekund ?
De échte foto vind ik echt goed !
Dat korrel-effect is zowat een verwijzing naar
" hallo ik in de spiegel ... en nu zal ik me nog moeten scheren ook zeker ? ... "

Daarom heb ik een baardje :-)

Toch heb ik heb een bedenking.
Geen " but ".
Je ( slag-) schaduw op de muur :
zou ie moeten blijven, verdwijnen of extra in de verf gezet worden of wat ?
Zelf over nagedacht ?
Dat het enkel gefotografeerd werd bij daglicht
en een piere-lichtje aan 't plafond
laat me " stif koed " :-)
Is dat dialect van aan de kust ?

The comb in this shot is a touch of genius. It suggests and organizes the meaning and mood, yet also allows for more to the story. I like the gray and grainy exposure, and the offset presentation is both artistic and classy. Most of all, the idea and the results are profound. One to be very proud of!
