[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken in an entertainment park
while sitting in " the big wheel ".
I had a lovely view over the surrounding area
completely forgot my fear of heights :-)
With a zoomlens you're never or hardly leave the sollid ground ... :-)

Tech :

Replaced the blue colour of some metal constructions
so they did draw attention that much. ( left )
Darken some OE spots ( right )
Removed a parking place ( right almost top )
Added saturation and contrast.
( Nikon has, IMO, a rather dark standard setting )
Little crop, resize and USM for TL

For Nikon users : tried to do as much as I could
( still learning )with Capture NX2 :
do like working with " control points "

Did try to convert it to B/W.
Tried several " filters " but the woodwork was flatten into the background.

Hope you like it and, as always, remarks very wellcome.

Greetings
Jan

No way Jan, makes me scared just looking at it!

Beautiful compostition, good thinking to remove the parking place and indeed the weathered wood is too good to make a BW version of this picture.

haha ha i like your title. How on earth could you take this image while sitting in it ? i would shake all over my body...
bbbbrrrrrrr...scary. I must say that i find the colours a bit boring but the subject and comp, pov are superb......

regards, willie

Great perspective and very creative. I get dizzy just looking at it. Good job.

Regards David

Very dramatic photo Jan! Perfect composition - I love the double tracks that the eye is led to wonderfully from the big hill in the foreground.

What really "makes" the photo is the graphic nature of it, from all the wooden supports and their hard angles, in contrast to the curvature of the track and the trees surrounding the coaster.

The first thing I thought when I saw this is that it would look great in black & white, and then I read in your note that you had tried it as well. I did a quick workshop taking a stab at it in b&w.

Well seen Jan! BTW, did you ride the coaster?!

- Bob

Zwartwit, Jan!

Prachtige compo hier, Jan.
