[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The interior of a nest of "European Hornets", which I was obliged to destroy, it was in the attic, a dangerous vicinity, especially which it is very young, not more than one month.

An adult nest is much more impressive, the animals too!
And that goes very quickly!

Wasps? I hate them. I have one outside my door and they attack when I leave. We've tried to kill them once already.
Anyway, great shot, very clear.

HiClaude, great shot ! I cannot believe you did that yourself ! Seems a very dangerous job, to destroy those nests...

They are made so beautifully.

The object is interesting and gives a good occasion, a pity your photo doesn't use it!

I would like to share with you the example of a similar object and a very good photo: example

It's unbelievable the sound when you discover a nest like it. One day we find a big one into our wood logs for winter. Un cliché original!

Ces nids sont d'une qualité architecturale inouïe …
Malheureusement, la beauté dans ce cas est préjudiciable à l'homme …
Bravo pour la photographie et le courage !!!

Hi Claude,
This is indeed incredible! We have those in our Sumemr house back in Brazil, but not as bog. Usualy we warm up the nest to get rid of the bugs and then we collect it and put it very very far away from the home. I assume a sting from one of those is ratehr painfull...
The details in our photo are amazing and the colours really reflects reallity. The angle was well chosen and photo is very nicley done

take care, Stef

They are amazing creatures and what a great house they build for themselves too. You were lucky you found it now before it got any bigger Claude. TFS, it's very interesting. Did you spray the room first before the you destroyed it.
