| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French] |
A titmouse which had been mislaid in our house and which one slackened in the maisonnette designed to put food the winter.
It remained a few minutes there, taking the model with benevolence then flew away while singing!
Hold, blow of mouth, I benefit from it to say some words of the means implemented in Europe and more particularly in Belgium to fight against the aviary influenza in the poultries. It is completely aberrant, one should not more release the birds in freedom to prevent that they are not in contact with infected wild birds, but the sparrows and other small wild birds manage to return anywhere, even in the department stores... All the wild birds should be killed? And all domestic birds? And not to eat neither eggs more, neither chickens, neither turkey, neither duck, neither "foie gras", neither pies, nor...
It would not have been simpler to put all the joint means and works about it to manufacture a vaccine? Ah yes, money, but there is a lot of money to make the war... and other silly things... |

Yes, the bird flu is a worry, but we wonder if it is more scare-mongering than is necessary.
The titmouse is nice and sharp, a very good catch Claude. Excellent colours and sharp details too. Well done.

I fully support your views, but I wouldn't be quite as cynical (other than "there is always money for war"- i.e. the military-industrial complex!). Effective vaccines can't be made overnight (especially in the quantities necessary) and spending massive sums of money on ineffective vaccines would be a greater tragedy. Trying to reduce risk over the short run, even if it is far from ideal, makes sense. There are no simple answers. But I do understand your frustration.
