Working in water distribution field, i will show you some pictures of water towers, and especially of the inner of this tower (not used to see)
This one is at the tank, situated in the upper part of the tower. In that case, there are two tanks, each with a capacity of 2500 meter cube. Under these tanks, there are no water, as often thought. There are pipes, valves, and amartures.
The main goals of a water tower is to produce pressure and water stockage to be able to continue to deliver water during one day in case of problem or maintenance.
This picture has been shot without flash, apperture priority, with a Sony CyberShot dsc-V1

Hello Bernard, belle piscine.

That is different. Really cool scene, it's like somewhere in a science fiction movie. It's entrancing!

I just wonder why you don't post this on TE, it really serve to teach us about the world which is TE's mission.

Very informative shot, I've often wondered what's inside of one of these. Thanks for sharing.

A very informative picture, Bernard. TFS. I work for a drinkwater distribution company myself, but hadn't seen the inside of one of these towers yet...
Is the Charleroi area pressurised only through these towers or do you use pumps as well (to pressurize, not to fill the towers, I mean) ?
I like the effect of 1/8" on the water streaming into the tower. Well done.
