Intersting shot here with good use of light and shadow and a nice image of abstract lines and shades. I like the way you wrote the title to match in with the image and your framing is excellent. I am running a B/W theme in a few weeks time so do keep an eye out for that one.

Excellent BW work, nice composition. I do not feel it claustrophobia the picture láttán, rather some kind of ethereal order, I believe the success of a system. The claustrophobia I then to feel possibly, if the trees would surround bending, quasi circle staining.

Ah-ha! A great take on the natural abstract theme...a very natural collection of lines and shapes, light and depth, all made a bit surreal with the change to b&w. Love the title:)

mijn blik zoekt naar een weg door het bos maar wordt gevangen gehouden door de vertikalen. Toch vindt hij ook een schuin streepje zon.

Wow - a very effective shot Erik! The black and white treatment realy underlines your title choice. Well composed with the thickest, dominant trunk in the left 1/3rd of the frame.

Idée originale pour contribuer au thème de la semaine. J'aime bien le titre qui aurait aussi pû être " promiscuité".
Belle texture naturelle des écorces et bon controle de la lumière. La version couleur est également très jolie mais ne rend pas le même atmosphère.

Une image toute simple , mais si joliment présentée et titrée. J'adore. Excellente observation ! Le format carré est très adéquat pour celle-ci, renforçant davantage la grandeur des arbres et l'impression de claustrophobie.

Next great trees shot! I must say that after little while I can see that you developed your photographers hand! all new pictures are amaizing!
this one, very natural in colours, little bit blured with good chosen perspective which adds to those trees something spooky and lively... BUT! I must say that i realy dislike that ordinary gray frame... i think it takes form that picture everything what it builds by itself ( i hope you understand me). maybe black frame would be better, or if that frame would be much thiner.. i don`t know.
but picture itself is great, i think that you are a very tree person, you can feel the mood of them! you prooved that in previous pictures! My humble oppinion it is :o)

You've done a very good job of using monochrome with this subject. I'm still learning how to do this. I like the different tones that it involves, the shady and the dappled light.
