... indeed a moody one. Amazing tonal range and great interplay of lights and shades in this part of the valley. Do like the lit up tree to the left in front of the shadows. Some kind of A. Adam's style ;-)
A place to calm down, just watching the lights pass by...

c'est un très beau noir et blanc. J'aime bien ce coté un peu déséquilibré que provoque l'angle du banc et des piquets de la clôture. C'est une image qui prouve encore que même les paysages et les photos de nature ne résiste pas au noir et blanc...
La très large variété de contraste rend bien l'impression de profondeur.
Juste pour pinailler, je ne sais pas d'ailleurs si c'est faisable avec un appareil digital. Mais un filtre jaune ou même rouge avec une pellicule noir et blanc aurait renforcé le contraste entre le bleu du ciel et les nuages. Mais j'ai dis, c'est juste pour pinailler, car la photo est très bonne.

au premier coup d'oeil, la miniature m'a attiré. le traitement noir est blanc est impeccable de meme que le cadrage. juste un petit bemol quant a la qualité de l'image, qui est certainement du a la compression du jpeg. a moins que l'accentuation ne soit trop forte. peut etre l'effectuer avant le changement de taille et non pas apres ?

en tout cas excellente image, bravo

Alles zit goed, het licht zit mooi, de lijnen, compositie, tonaliteit. De rustige sfeer is mooi weergegeven. Je persoonlijke stijl is er ook ingelegd: ik wist dat het er een van jou was alvoor ik je naam eronder zag.

Eén minpuntje: je hebt iets te hard aangescherpt, wat vooral in de boom (bast en takken) te zien is.

Great composition. The shade of gray is marvelous. That is really quit. The heavy shadow of the bench on the ground gives the old years feeling. Great shot Erik.

Superbe point de vue sur ce petit coin de nature auquel le rendu en noir et blanc va parfaitement. Comme le suggérais Pierre j'ai tenté un petit WS pour augmenter un peu le contraste du ciel et éclaircir également les arbres sur la gauche. en tout cas superbe.

Un banc de bois vieilli par le temps, par les éléments ou il ferait bon de m'assoir et contempler la vue en y respirant un air si pur ,en me laissant carreser le visage par le vent doux et tiède du midi. Une sensation ,une réalité. Beau site campagnard que tu as trouvé et j'espàre que tu t'y promènes souvent car ce n'est pas l'envie qui me manquerait à moi!

Seems like a nice place indeed, Erik... I for one can really enjoy walking in the hilly landscapes of Southern Belgium and Luxemburg with Ann and Dingo. But we also enjoy walks on the beaches of Zeeland ;o). Seems like Sunday will be a nice day for hiking.
I like the curves in this compo. I'm not sure about the b&w though. Ok, the conversion has been handled very well, but in general I prefer colour shots, especially on a -obviously- sunny day.

Very tranquil moody B&W post. The FG has razor sharp details. The tree is vertical and everything else is at an angle. It makes me think. Nice contrast controlled well here.
