Before 1740, the inhabitants of Chiny maintained a bridge out of wooden on Semois. They had accepted of the count de Chiny this trickle charge in exchange of the total property of the wood “of Hat”. One then decided to build a stone bridge called Saint Nicolas's bridge.
This bridge was destroyed by the French troops on May 11, 1940 and was rebuilt in 1955-1956
With two steps is the Cambier Mill which is the starting point many walks in forest.

This photo was taken in February 2007, by a very beautiful sunny day.
