[Photo info: meadow on the foreground slightly cropped, a little saturation added, very slight resharpening after resizing for TL, the WS gives an idea of the larger landscape of which this photo shows a detail]

Belgium is a densely populated country. However, urbanisation is mainly concentrated in the North (dutch speaking Flanders). Except from the Meuse, the Sambre and the Haine valleys, the South (french speaking Wallonia) still is very rural and scarcely populated, with wonderful landscapes in endless shades of green. Here, in the Ardenne (wooded plateau with deep valleys).

La Belgique est un pays très peuplé. Cependant, l’urbanisation est concentrée essentiellement dans le Nord (en Flandre, où le néerlandais est la langue officielle). Dans le Sud (la Wallonie, où le français est la langue officielle), à part dans les vallées de la Meuse, de la Sambre et de la Haine, ce sont les espaces ruraux et peu peuplés qui prédominent. Avec des paysages superbes déployant toutes les nuances de vert. Ici, en Ardenne (plateau boisé avec des vallées profondes).

België is een dichtbevolkt landje. Toch is de verstedelijking vooral geconcentreerd in het Noorden (Vlaanderen – Nederlandstalig). In het Zuiden (Wallonië – Franstalig) wonen veel minder mensen en is landelijkheid troef (behalve in de valleien van de Maas, de Samber en de Hene). Wondermooie landschappen vind je daar, in alle mogelijke groentinten. Hier een landschap in de Ardennen (bebost plateau met diepe valleien).

Hallo Erik,
Ben blij weer eens wat van je te zien op TL!
Qua compositie:okay vanwege de groene vlakken rechts en vooraan in beeld, dit breekt het groen van de bomen. Je kunt heel goed de wat jongere aanplant zien. Kader is in evenwicht met de foto.

Superbe composition de tous ces sapins des Ardennes, jolies couleurs et verdure, un excellent point de vue et une belle note sur la Belgique ;) du sud et nord..

Salut Erik,
superbe photo que tu nous livre. Elle manque un peu de sujet, d'un centre (pas forcement au centre :-p) qui attire l'oeil. Ici l'oeil n'arrive pas a se fixer sur quelque chose. Par contre les couleurs!!! Quelle splendide palette de vert! Et ca fait plaisir pour quelqu'un qui comme moi est en train de passer son 5e mois dans le desert de cailloux et sable et cactus...(Az USA)

Inderdaad, een ware kleurenschakering aan groen. Mooi voor de compositie is ook dat lapje " eruit "

Bedankt ook voor het bijspijkeren van m'n Engels ( trappen van vl ) :-)

Hi!
A very correct title!
And I like this simple but decorative picture, well saturated in different greens. These plantations are hopeless for walking, but can be nice looking at, and you have made a very good composition out of it.

Hi Erik,

Good, better, best! A photo of this kind is always pleasure to me. Very nice forest landscape.
Technically: good crop and composition, but maybe the saturation or the contrast (or both) was too much, not a lot, a bit only. Instead of the green I prefer black outer frame, but this is personal and doesn't ruin the image itself at all. For me this photo worth 8 out of 10 (which is absolutely the greenest smiley here).
Being a hill fanatic, and living in a country with less than 1000 meters high mountains, this is the type of landscapes I like the most. Tfs.

Some would love to say...just in autumn you can see colors of trees ..in sumer they are all same , green...but I don't think so....and you show with this pic that is not the truth :))))
