[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
You know how photos sometimes go completely wrong - and you are nevertheless fascinated with the result? And why shouldn't we share our failures as well as our successes? This was obviously intended as a shot of another train through a train window. But I underestimated the reflection strenght - and the autofocus did the rest. I nevertheless kept it and kept looking at it. I really don't know why. Maybe because it is so much a picture of how I spend a lot of time trying out a lot of things (such as steadying the camera on a table - to no avail).

Technically I just resized and mirrored, to at least make the publicity for the camera easier to read.

a very strong point in your note, Per. well, maybe it did went wrong somewhere..but it's still your effort and as a matter of fact, this looks quite creative...it's like a mixture of many elements...all put into one..lights, reflections and movements. i kindda like it like this:)

Very nice shot, Per !
I wish I had taken it !
Nice play with reflections in front of a window and the train passing at that precise moment, it is a sort of at-random shot and it is a success. You created a very nice mood. It is creative !

It looks like a commercial shot. That's good and very interesting. Well done on the mistake and composition.
IMO, when shooting through glass, butt the lens right against the window. :)

Per, our cameras have an eye of their own, even the old 35 mm type, and sometimes they "see" better than we do. This is not a failure but a success of your camera. I like it and glad you shared it with us....:O)

I agree with the others, Per: this is not a failure but a nice experimental shot! Could be a commercial as wel, a combined one : "Olympus: real men know why" ;o).
Stabilising the camera on a table can be a good idea - if the table itself is (s)table LOL. Trains just wiggle too much.

Sometimes our expectations of shooting a scene are completely different that we had planned for, but they end up being a pleasant surprise as in your case with this one. I like the way it turned out. I bet if you had planned it this way, it wouldn't have been so good. Could very well be an advertisement for your camera Per, without the double reflection, of course. This is a great image. I like the way I can still see the yellow train in the reflection. The two empty seats at the bottom I find very interesting. I like this a lot.

Hello,

A nice advertising for Olympus!
I like the mixed travel and photographic concepts.
But, there are so many elements that the eye is loosing its path!
