[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In 1152, Henry the Blind, Earl of Namur, gave the Church of Leffe to the Premonstratensian Order of Floreffe. The monastery that developed as a result became an abbey in 1200. It has survived its fair share of disasters over the years, having been reconstructed in the 17th and 18th centuries, and plundered by French revolutionaries in 1794. The present buildings were sold in 1816 and transformed into workshops, but in 1903 were purchased by the exiled French Premonstratensian Order and restored as an abbey.

The sax city....gorgeous!
Superb architecture, lovely colors, great light.

Hello John,
Beautifully composed picture of a beautiful building.
The balance of light and shadows is very well done,
because it is quiet difficult to do so.
Regards
Nazir

Hi John,
Nice capture, the tones look very natural in this scene. Can easily tell which side of the sky the sun was on. For the most part, the details look clear and sharp. Sufficient DOF from f/8. Only very minimal distortion from the wide-angle lens too. Good job.

TFS,
Scott.

Saludos

I'm agree with a crop from the left until you eliminate the wall
Thank you

dear John,
an impressive picture of old orange building,
this tender light makes both shining wall and calm shadow in this visual space.
warm atmosphere surrounding the house and cool air in shadow are well contrasted, it is very comfortable.
thank you,

Salut John,

D'une c'est dingue lorsqu'on n'a pas le temps de venir quotidiennement sur le site de s'appercevoir la vitesse à laquelle les galeries s'étoffent.
De deux, LEFFE like the bièèèrrre? Cool moi j'aime beaucoup la Leffe, bon blague à part j'aime toujours les photos où l'on y retrouve un contraste de lumière avec une légère zone d'ombre.
Dans tous les cas un joli cloître.
Une bonne journée
Valérie
