[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just a snapshot in my neighbourhood.
I usually like saturated pictures but felt this one needed the opposite.

I am always walking around with the camera around my neck so I can snap pictures at random - this is the digital age, so if the pictures don't tell anything they can always be deleted from the hard drive.

I am here to learn so any comments, critiques or whatever comes to mind very welcome.

Thanks and have a nice evening.

Marleen

I think this is a very cool shot. the size of the people and focus on them is great. I may have cropped some of the left side there myself..just a suggestion.

Nice work though.

two...EVERYTHING, Marleen, dat van de maten en de gewichten, meer en meer, vooral hier in Engeland, ziektezorg etc. Great journalistic stron image, thanx, M, (*_*)

It must be the week for 'back' shots! I like this a lot Marleen, and particularly with the title. It says so much. I agree about the desaturation - it works really well. Maybe a frame? Great shot - TFS

Great Shot, sums getting older. In Denmark we are called the "old age burden"
Best Wishes..

I think the imagery of this photo is great and I like the desaturated colours, I think they add to the feeling of age portrayed in the photo (the people, the bus and the shop sign). However I find the cars on the left and the slightly sloping wall weaken the composition. I sorted them in a workshop to see if you agree.

Andrew

again a great capture Marleen... It makes me think of a scene of film that could have been directed by Ken Loach or maybe by the brothers Dardenne. It is a great photo!

Nice photograph Marleen! It is time the world should be concerned about the senior society. It is growing fast but the members are moving so slow!

I like the thought this conveys, and the desatursation. Nice shot!

Hello Marleen, another great photo on the everyday citylife. Good sharpness and I like it almost unsaturated.

Very well done! Yan :)

Excellent idea to desaturate this shot Marleen. This is a situation that we also see in all cities around here but we do not capture it. Maybe I should do like you and always carry my camera with me. I like the title a lot.
The workshop is also pretty good.

Well done!

Hi Marleen, I'm not sure what it is specifically about this photo that I like, but I do know that it's appealing to me. I think it may be that it's natural and provides a great 'snapshot' of daily life. I like the desaturation too. Ah, I do know why I like it after all!
