We stay in Belgium a while longer..still in Brugge !

Same location as previous photo.. this time a 3 minutes walk along this canal
Here we see tourists, pushed themselves in to this canal sight-seeing boat..like sardines in a tin.
(no..^__^ not me )

**
Some times TL observers ask/advice me to do colurs
diffrent .. or the clouds etc.
But folks, let me remind you that we all have diffrent views/taste and I like a photo as it is .. right out from the lens!!
My PP is almost nothing.. like in music.. one likes Jazz and another Mozart.
Sure I do pickup nice tips now and than!!! but
much has to do with personal taste..right?

Thanks for your visit Folks ..I apriciate!

Belle photo John! J'aime beaucoup l'ensemble
Excellent!!!

Hi "O" John

Great composition here my friend and I like the tight crop. Again amazing architecture. Doubt I'd fit in that boat now :) Excellent shot

Lovely shot John, brings back good memories for me, haven't been to Brugge for a few years.
The clouds are nice, so is the composition and colours.
Keep em coming!
TFS.

Hello John.
Great composition and colours.
Nice contrasts.
The green foliage on the building captured my attention.
Altogether a lovely picture.

Hi John, I like your POV here looking down along the water's edge with the curved building in the BG.
And John, about changing sky colours etc. I, like you, like to keep it as I saw it. Some grey skies can spoil a photo if too glary, so I might crop as much as I can off, but on the whole I will leave it or not post it at all!
I think your clouds here look like many NZ clouds, grey and well patterned...

Hi John,
Definitly I need to start saving money to visit belgium and Holland. There is so many great places that you are showing us. Like this one with that great architecture.
Cheers.

A country which produced a man as Jacques Brel is certainly an interesting country, if not Brel would have missed inspiration. And it was not the case, isn't ?
I like the format of this image. The plans are tightened, good composition. The cloudy sky makes a good contrast with the color of the city. Once again, well done John! Annie

Superbe endroit.
Merci John.

Hi John...another nice scene from Belgium..lovely old buildings here.. too.

Yes John we all know that we have different tastes/views on each photo.. but we can still advice or point out what one could perhaps do to a photo.. after all this is what this is all about...right ?

Thanks for sharing...

p.s. but nothing wrong with this sky.. i like it.

Hello John,

Love the POV and perspective here. Interesting scene... overloaded boat.. winds... turbulant sky... great combination ;) Thanks for sharing John... love all the textures here.

Love and Peace always
Kevin

Wonderfully colorful POV. You didn't you take the boat ride too, not into sardines, eh? Lol. Well done. TFS,
Hugzzz,
Fran

A great view, the angle with which you have capture it is good.

Hi John,
Very nice composition and colours. I really would like to take some time off and travel through all these beautiful European cities.

By the way, our Canadian girls have just skated all over your Dutch Wonder Irene in long-track speed skating.

Hello John!

Sorry for my long silence. I barely take time to write these days and visit my fellows work. But I am hooked on the Olympic Games now. Nice postcard shot with this vertical composition.

Great day for our amateurs today. And believe it or not, I am happy to see the both Canadian and US Hockey team are out of the tournament! They played so badly, they really do not deserve to be in the medals round. I wish all the best to the four remaing teams.

BTW The Dutch skating team did win a bronze today ! Bravo ! First and second for Canada was a sweet moment to enjoy.

Have a nice Olympic Day!
Robert

john,
i lik ethe pov.
good balance of your subjects. good color and detail. looks like it rained soon after you took this shot!

Yassou Yiannis Mythos Tulopoulos...!!!
Once again your photo is wonderful and natural!
The colours are warm and your POV great! I knew you wouldn't get into that boat with all those sardines, you would prefer the yacht you were steering on one of your previous photos... :))
Well done on the composition!

Hi John,

Henk.

Hi John
Same comment as in previous, welldone on a good shot!
Rob

I bet you enjoyed everyday on these canals. I'd love to do those trips one day.
jaco

It's beautiful. A lovely building. Nice atmosphere. A perfect moment.

Lovely image John, just lovely! I love the LONG lines that help me travel effortlessly throughout the image.
The lush colors in the buildings and a soft blue sky makes a winning combination!
Excellent DOV and POV! Say hello to your wife for me John!

Elton

A nice, tranquil scene, even with all those people crowded into that small boat. Seems peaceful somehow.

Gayle :)

Great scenic shot. The Flag draws my attention here - what flag is it? At first I thought it could be the German flag, but then I remembered that the German flag has horizontal lines and this one haas vertical lines.

Enough space on the left to allow the boat with tourists to move into it. Nice work.

BTW - I am getting a lot of critiques about my borders that are distracting - perhaps if you can give me some advise (offline), I'll appreciate it.

Regards ---Kondor---

Even geen tijd gehad. Druk, druk, druk!

Don

Hi John my dutch bro :)

Another great photo of Belgium and its charms! Nicely composed in this vertical format, focussing on the main attraction here. And the grey sky is well taken as well because you have texture with the clouds.

Great work! Sis :)

Very beautiful shot John. Even though it was cloudy, it actually makes the colours come out more I think. Lovely old buildings and the canal alongside adds a great deal of interest. I am going on an European tour in May and will be in Belgium for 2 nights only at Brussels, but will be my first visit to Europe (other than an Italian tour). So am looking forward to some good photos while travelling.
Cheers Joan
