[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Though still summer, the weather was rather autumnal when I took Dingo for a walk.

When the sun was not obscured by clouds like this one, it was rather hot. But once the clouds got in the way, it instantly became really cold. Nature made it clear, once again, that summer was soon to be history.

Today, September 22nd, autumn really began, so I decided to share these sunrays with you... and the clouds as well ;o).

Tech talk

Almost none! I decided to post this one as it came out of my Oly... These are the original colours and nothing about the lighting was adjusted. I didn't even crop the original...

Used a canvas size of 800 and a picture width of 780. Filled the canvas with one of the colours of the cloud to provide a non-white edge. Then applied PictureIt's Soft Edge tool, width 2 pixels.

Resized for TL in 4 steps, applying USM 85%;1;1 after steps 2 and 4.

Credits

I decided to post this after I saw Leon's cloud picture.

It's like, if the cloud is eating the sunlight...
Simple, few colours, few details, but very nice done, Frank !

Mooi hoe de zonnestralen door deze hele zware wolk proberen door te breken. Goed vastgelegd Frank.

Very nice mood on this photo Frank! Really the autumn is comming with wide steps!

Like the sunrays captured behind the clouds with the grey ,white and blue colortones ,also nice sharp edges on the clouds.. Good work Frank.. also very nice framing you did.."thanks for the credits :-))"

I don't really feel automn watching this picture but I sure do when I look outside. Nice lighting. I like the tall grass in the forground that gives some perspective.

Good contrast, and exposure the sun rays coming out from the top are very nice, very well seen.

nice shot here, with the sunrayse shining thru!
maybe you could have colned away the electricity pole....
colours and compo are good!

Very nice picture Frank, I like with the sunrays in the clouds, and I like also the grass in the bottom of the picture giving like a frame on it. Very well done!

hi Frank - I'm behind you... I have been very busy and mostly have only nights to come on TL. I like this busy cloud ... for the so nice rays of light, very particular, being so neet. Your Oly have done perfect here. - Have a nice day. I will catch up. :) Bye.

Very good composition, especially with the foilage at the bottom. The suns rays on the top cloud are excellent. Great handling the light conditions, Dingo. Well done.
I must try the 4 steps resizing. Do you find it an advantage?

You have prompted me to upload a sky shot that I took last week. Maybe tomorrow (if I remember). Perhaps we should have a "Sky" theme. What do you think?

Very good! the colors and the framing were excellent! click perfect - congratulations
:>)
David.
