[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One afternoon I was coming down on the train from Brussels to Luxembourg. The first part goes through the flat country of Flanders before going into the Ardennes. There was a dark sky to the north and the light was going fast. At one point I spent a few minutes pressing my small Casio to the window and pressing the shutter every time the landscape opened up. The reflection of the lens and the camera in the window were caught in all frames, and they were not very sharp and full of movement.

So I ran them all through a one-step-photo-fix filter after resizing. After that I sharpened twice and added a lot of gaussian noise (between 12 and 24% per frame) Finally I decided on one as the center and background frame and reduced the others to 200X200 pixels before positioning in the center frame.

what a great idea, Per! the round is the reflection of the lens...creative! and also great pp work.

This is so wonderful, great experimentation. Aren't you happy you took the train and not the car ? Love the way you did this.

Marleen

Nice, very creative! You can feel the speed of the train, and really captures the fun of a trainride!

Interesting art Per, I like the color in all of the shots.

Very creative shot Per, just shows you what can be done an a boring train journey with a little help from pp. Great work, well done.

You prove that a bored photographer on a train can lead to surprising results, Per ;o) I like the square aspect of the background picture, but maybe the additional pictures would have worked better had they been circular, the outer brim of the lens for instance. I see you tried to give them rounded corners, but it shows that it is handwork... and I find that a bit distracting. I also think that you could have used a smaller size for the background image and have put the other images closer together. But that's just my opinion.
The title is a nice pun. I like it. Very creative work, all in all. TFS.

Very artistic composition! I enjoy the disposition and the filters effect hare used with taste!

See what you can do whilst travelling on a train...with a camera. I like what you did here. The views through the lens directly on the window have given this photo a real old fashioned feel to it when cameras were not so technical. At least I think so, and I like it. The slight blur in each image gives me the feeling as if I am there on the train looking out of the window and feeling it's speed. Well done, and very creative thinking.

Certainly a very different effect with this collage Per. It is amazing what a bit of creativity will do for some shots which you probably thought would not be of any use. Here you have made something of them and then even the blur and uneven lighting adds interest. I like the background frame with the lovely colours and the very grainy look of it.

Very unusal and well built composition.
I like it
