Great shot of a mundane scene. Everything is well balanced with perfect sharpness and rich colors. I love how the polarizing filter gives the blue sky a lot of punch. Nice work Niek.

Hallo Niek,
Net even gekeken bij je andere foto's. Heerlijk geruststellend als er meer mensen zijn die vergeten hun ISO's en andere instellingen terug te zetten na het nemen van een foto!
Map option, lijkt me een forum vraag - gaat vast wel iemand voor je uitzoeken hoe dat werkt. Of wellicht kan je op Google Earth inzoomen op de locatie, heb je gelijk de co-ordinaten - alleen zijn die (langer) afwijkend van de invulmogelijkheden hier - dus ik kan je niet helpen.
Dat zal een pittige wandeling zijn geweest. Vanaf Nederlands Limburg heb je al direct het gevoel in het buitenland te zijn.
In de scav hunt is er volgens mij ook een thema verlaten gebouwen.

I somehow feel that this beautiful building would not have been left abandonned in England! Such properties are highly sought after! You have portrayed them well. The trees make a natural frame, good composition and lovely bright colours.

What a shame that it is going to ruin as it looks like a lovely place and seems to be well situated. The tall trees frame the shot nicely and the colours and light are very attractive. It sounds like you had a nice hike

Hello Niek,
This is interesting and a situation that can be found across most of Europe...
I have brought a few images myself showing the situation in Norway (TrekEarth), and statistics tells that a four digit number of farms are abandoned every year.
This is a well composed documentary, good light helps to bring out wonderful colours!

What a shame - it looks an attractive house, nice architecture. But as buildings age the up-keep can be too expensive. We have lots of old houses in NZ, but not on the size of this place.
Well composed Niek, and I like how you have used the Poplar trees as a frame.
