"At the beginning was the verb...".
Thus the bible describes the beginning of creation.
And in fact, without written and spoken words, of verbs them to bind, not safety. But if we rewrite one day the history of the man we would say: "At the beginning was the drawing..."
Character of the writing. The first steps of intelligence in the will to transmit the culture at the man show through in his desire to communicate by other supports that the voice. Its faculty to project an image abstracted on a physical support to make thus its message timeless differentiates it from all creation. The first attempts were cave paintings and sculptures; the seconds, more elaborate, were the hyperborean runes, the Chinese ideograms, the Egyptian hiéroglyphes... Much later, the wedge-shaped writing and the alphabets will make their appearance. First parietal expressions with the contemporary texts, all refer in common. This bond of intelligence of all the human expressions is the feature of union of the cultures.
The writing is never but one codified drawing; the drawing thus remains the major means of expression of the man. The rare oral cultures have periclity. Penmanship gives all its character to the writing. The drawing takes sometimes in the history of the humanity of the religious forms. Among Celts, it was interdict to represent certain symbols; only the druids, during a rite, could consider it. Among Egyptians, the hiéroglyphes were dedicated to the religious expression; for the commun run, one used the hieratic writing. Some allot to simple drawn figures, divine or satanic connotations like the crosses, the pentacles, the stars...

Hi JP!
I love the concept of the drawing in the beginning of humankind. And I think that your symbolic montage is fantastic, with that bridge allowing the communication..
Congrats.
Marisa

Beautiful note Jean supplemented by a marvellous picture. I am running out of superlatives. Well done

I guess we must carry some of those early human's genes because even very small children are always trying to draw something ;-) The note is fantastic and the composition is full of symbols waiting to be unraveled, but this time you've given us many clues to guide us in our discovery tour ;-) Très bien fait Jean!!!!
A member of TL "eduaraujo" sent me this fantastic link on account of my drawing photo, I think you will like it too, it's from a man who draws with sand, it's really fantastic, so check it out if you can because I think it also relates to your note : http://siteeric1705.free.fr/video/sandAnimation.wmv

Bien realizado.

A good combination of effects to return to a the origin of the images created by the man. Made well.
