Roofs of Brugge

Today another view on this beautiful town in Belgium; the roiofs of Brugge. Or should I write; towers of Brugge? Anyway, particular the nice masonry is striking in this town. Small warm coloured stones are fit together creating stunning walls.

Well I was here together with the TL-bunch and in the WS you find a picture of two new friends; Vandana and Tanya, the wife of Vassilis. To show it are not only cold bricks which are attractive ;-)

Take care my friends and have a nice weekend!

Picture PP-work: Increased saturation (+12), cropped minor part, cropped top of left tower, fit into framed one, add text and frame, flattened image and resized for TL. No sharpening!

I love this kind of architecture Hans.
Its a shame we don't have it in New Zealand, but this is such a young country.
A beautiful composition with everything sharp and well exposed.
I like the tower out of the frame.
Very well done.

I love brickwork! I love old work architecture too! This is super nice, nice reds and oranges! I see you stole a page from PierreFrigon's book and put some of the peaks outside of the frame! Marvelous!
Have a great weekend Hansie!

Capturing texture of the roofs is an innovative idea my friend. Beautifully presented in fine details which is emphesising on the subject. An excellent image my friend, well done.

Beautifully presented, Hans, and a nice, surprising view on Bruges. The frame works, especially for giving room to that tower. And the ws bonus shot is a real treat, as I saw you take that picture... and they wouldn't pose for me anymore ;o)

One BIG nit-pick: the clearly visible dust bunny!

Hallo Hans.
Wat is brugge toch intressant. Zeker als je er ook nog zulke een mooie compositie maakt.Knap werk en erg goed gezien.
Groet Frans

What an interesting composition Hans. The bricks, the many shaped walls, the spires and chimneys and towers - what a pleasant variety to see. And then the pointy bits with their jewels on top!! Such amazing architecture. And so different from NZ.
Bravo Hans, I like this scene very much, thank you

Bonsoir Hans
I know Brugges for me well to be returned many times so much I like this city there but unfortunately at this time there, I didn't have passion for photography and passed certainly beside many wonders.
You, not, and thank you to share this splendid POV with us. The least detail of this superb series of roofs is of a splendid clearness. Great colours. Interesting PP work with this good frame.
Good week-end for you

Hello dear Hans,

Excellent shot, with an architectural detail from this beautiful Belgian town, showing how nice the builders use to build these buildings, so the were functional and stylish.
Well done,

Hello Hans!
It's a magnificent capture and pp. I like your idea of letting the tower roof stick out of the frame. Great detail - one can count the number of the bricks if need be - and make a copy in Las Vegas or in Asia;-)
Thanks for visiting my cloudy panorama!
Best regards!
Anton

Beautiful architecture and nice composition. You have many wonderful photos!
