[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
He was building a " construction " along a spiral he draw on the foam.
Difficult because if you loose your grip with the left hand ... bye-bye ! :-)

Tech :

Because I used natural light coming from a big window, most of the sticks and foam where overexposed.
So I reduced their intensity.
Played with saturation and brightness, sharpen, little crop and resize.

Mooie, natuurlijke "reportagefoto". Men at work...
De belichting (postgeprocessed of niet) zit wat mij betreft perfect. Zeer sfeervol en geen storende elementen.
Ook de blik van de man spreekt boekdelen: je hebt je titel goed gekozen.

Ok. Je weet da'k geen b&w freak ben. Maarreuh... dit is wel een leuke, en de belichting is best ok. In CS3: image, adjust, shadows & highlights. Highlights » +25 of zo. Doet vaak wonderen ;o). Goed onderwerp ook, alleen jammer dat je de spiraal niet mee hebt vastgelegd... maar dat heeft alles met je zitpunt te maken ;o))))

Heel mooi foto Jan - gelukkig hebben we PP want met flits zou deze foto veel van zijn charme zijn verloren!
Het is duidelijk, deze man had wel 3 handen willen hebben....

Fijn portrait. Wat was de man aan het doen? Geschoten voor school? Knap gedaan, je PP moet wel goed geweest zijn want ik merk niets van overbelichting. Fijn om in zwart wit te zetten.

Belíssimo visual desta fotografia em B/W.
Fez muito bom uso da luz e do b/w.
Eu de garoto joguei muito deste brinquedo de varetas, não construia, apenas brincava com as varetas coloridas.

Hi dear friend,
this one is really special. Has something that makes it like this. I think the B&W tones, wonderful rays of light bound with an "untold story" of that man. Very good title for it. Well done!

Hi Jan,
The gesture of this man is well captured. I like how he concentrates on the sticks and don't care about the camera. How light hit the guy is interesting, I just wish some light was hitting the sweater on the right arm, also you can't see it well, but I would have blurred the bag on the right and behind this guy. Other than that an interesting image.

wat is natuurlijk licht toch mooi he? Keuze voor zwart wit is perfect in dit kader........ over kaders gesproken, ik zou persoonlijk een (ongebruikelijke) crop hebben toegepast waarbij de onderste helft van de foto tot aan de lijn elleboog-mikado (whatever) zou verdwijnen. Moet je eens kijken hoeveel de foto dan toch nog weer aan kracht wint!
