[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After my previous posting of a cat in the morning light, I had to be honest to some TrekLens members that I'm actually more of a dog person... Though I can have cats ;-).

So here you go; My dog photograph, still enjoying the 80-400mm VR lense...

The dog is called Yrka and the breed is called Kromfohrländer - this specific dog being a long-haired Kromfohrländer.

In 1945, American soldiers marched into Germany from France. One group, arriving in the town of Siegen, Westphalia, was accompanied by a shaggy, tawny dog. The appearance and French origin indicated a Breton Griffon. The dog was taken in by a townswoman, called Use Schleifenbaum.
"Peter" became a beloved house pet and later "fell in love" with the next-door neighbor, "Fiffi," a female of uncertain pedigree, but possibly Fox Terrier extraction. The resulting puppies were uniform and so handsome that Mrs. Schleifenbaum decided to develop them into a new breed.
Ten years later, in 1955, she succeeded in having the German Kennel Club officially recognize them, with the FCI giving them the stamp of approval shortly after. A new breed was born!

Great action shot Dennis and what a cute wee dog. Great detail and sharpness
cheers

Hallo Dennis,
TFS & groeten!
Erik

Hello Dennis, very dynamic shot of that dog, the picture is sharp and the panning is good. I love the light in its eye and the blurred background. Too bad about the missing part of the leg though and the high lights are a bit OE on the dog. Nonetheless a very good picture. :-)

Maintenant le chien qui vole alors Denis, à quand l'oiseau qui enterre son T-Bone?
À voir l'expression du chien et le background je pense que le chat n'est pas loin ...au soleil! ha! ha! ;-)
Très bonne netteté.
Bravo pour cette capture!!!
Salutations,
Dany

Hoi Dennis,
Mooi hoor zo'n vliegende hond :-)
Excellent capture in flight, a pity you cut a little part of his left rear leg, but that's a detail. Anyway well presented and going along with an interesting note. Thanks my friend!
Hans

Did you sharpen this image some more in photo-shop? Not bad, but I think I can detect that you did.

Very cute breed, hopefully I can get something similar of my dog Max this winter when he's surrounded by snow, he likes to tread in it... he looks quite silly. :)

The action caught in the shot is very energetic... and like you, I am more of a dog person. They're fun and loving, what more should a pet be? I mean a cat can't fetch the paper or catch a frisbee, defense rests!

Wonderful image, there's even a little glitz of light in his eyes. Just a happy HAPPY image! :) TFS, have a great weekend, your new lens is working well for you.

Biance.

Hi Dennis
Very nice moment and shot.

Hi Dennis,
Certainly an energy filled photo...good timing in catching the dog in mid-air. Was it a 1 shot or was you on burst mode? Either way...good catch with good detail and composition. Nice shooting Dennis!

Hi

Powerful photo :) I like shaggy dogs (visit my TL you will understand why). Nice action photo, very cheerful. Probably it would be better if the paw be in carde.
