Yes, I'm still convinced that dogs can fly!

I felt already pretty certain about it when posting my previous photograph on the 'Flying dog'.

My dog photography, still enjoying the 80-400mm VR lense.

This specific dog is called Yrka and the breed is called Kromfohrländer - this specific dog being a long-haired Kromfohrländer.

The Kromfohrländer is sometime said to look like a cross between a retriever and a beagle, and comes in a variety of coat thicknesses: short-haired, long haired and wire-haired. They are white with brown markings ranging from dark to light.

In 1945, American soldiers marched into Germany from France. One group, arriving in the town of Siegen, Westphalia, was accompanied by a shaggy, tawny dog. The appearance and French origin indicated a Breton Griffon. The dog was taken in by a townswoman, called Use Schleifenbaum.
"Peter" became a beloved house pet and later "fell in love" with the next-door neighbor, "Fiffi," a female of uncertain pedigree, but possibly Fox Terrier extraction.
The resulting puppies were uniform and so handsome that Mrs. Schleifenbaum decided to develop them into a new breed.
Ten years later, in 1955, she succeeded in having the German Kennel Club officially recognize them. A new breed was born!

Dennis,

Snelle foto, good action shot.

Mooi.

Hi Dennis,
Well I commented on your first 'dogs can fly' photo and was very surprised to come to your gallery and see part 2. This is ever as good as part 1. The detail is awesome. Colors are bold and rich...a little hot in areas but I think it adds to the drama here. This looks very nice Dennis and looks like loads of fun shooting.

Good one Dennis, I really like it, the panning is perfect, the exposure is very good and the details are sharp. Good job of blurring the background in the PP, good work, thanks !

Wonderfully taken Dennis, great sharp detail, with a little blurring of the paws, perfect.
I assume this is the wire-haired version??
Nico

Eeeenige foto Dennis.

Hi Dennis, very nice action shot. I love his focussed expression and the legs. The lighter chest is a little burned but not too distracting. Very good.

There should be a "flying" theme here on TL:))

An amazing catch, Dennis!
Bravo!
