[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My first ever entry in one of Helen's Friday themes: b&w outside.

I shot this boat on the Netekanaal in Lier, during a walk with Dingo. It was a lovely autumn day, and in a way it's a pity to take the colours away from the trees in the back.

I like the waves created by the boat, and their impact on the reflection.

Tech talk

Used Canon's Raw image task to convert the raw file to b&w. Added a digital exposure compensation of -0.6 stop, then increased the contrast and applied a yellow filter.

Then converted to tif and transferred the file to CS3, downsized in 5 steps and framed with a home tailored PS action.

Hello Frank,

You have nicely captured a moment in this frame which is presenting a holiday mood. Monochrome composition is remarkable where variety of grey hues are looking marvellous. An excellent shot my friend, well done.
