Hi Frank
Being side by side I couldn't resist being attracted by the great post of yours. I liked the bright and vivid colors the beautiful side line and its clarity.

" Maar " ik ben een beetje ( hmm ) gehersenspoeld :
( dat is ook figuurlijk ... )
Ik vind, op mijn monitor, dat er bijna geen detail zit
in het water.
Vermits me dit, op mijn monitor, geen overbelichte partij lijkt, denk ik dat je er digitaal meer moet kunnen uithalen.
Voel ik me nu, in m'n bureau, op m'n stoel, achter m'n pc,
een beetje " des duivels ".
Nochthans bedoel ik het goed !

hi Frank.. crop is really good here.. it discovers precious details!! scene is caracteristic.. and it seams as i can breath the sea taste!! colours and compo well taken!! thanks

Há, ben jij het Frank?
De boeiende vorm en texturen van het touw deden me op de thumbnail klikken, maar net als - de onverbeterlijke ;o) - Jan(neman), ben ik niet écht ingenomen met de achtergrond. Alle begrip voor de moeilijke lichtomstandigheden. Ik had wellicht niet beter gedaan. Maar de verhouding tussen overbelichte en perfect belichte delen wringt een beetje. Het overbelichte trekt de aandacht.
Oplossingen? PP-werk wellicht, of een heel ander standpunt bij het nemen van de foto...
Mijn hoogstpersoonlijke mening, uiteraard, die je niet hoeft te delen.

Frank ... ik ben blij dat je zelf altijd aangeeft dat eerlijk zijn de overhand moet voren.
Mag ik het zo zeggen, voor mij ben je iemand waar ik me aan op kan trekken maar eerlijk gezegd kom ik met deze foto niet hoger als een 6 op het schoolraport .(0-10 schaal)
De soep in lauw meester chefkok :-)

Your technique here really captured the work worn look of those cables. You get the sense that there are a lot of stories in their fibers and the flat lighting certainly suited the subject matter.
The pov is very good, as is the crop and color treatment.
I suppose on a nicer day the water may have been prettier, but this way the focus remains on the cables and their aged condition.
