When regular services have ceased on the Antwerp tramways, and traffic is low, one can often see these guys repairing/improving/changing the rails, and most of the time at about the same location... (I often wonder what they're doing, things can't be that bad, can they ? ;-) )
That's how it was yesterday, upon my return from the nightshop, and it was a magnificent sight I couldn't resist to portray. The bright light even allowed me to shoot at 1/250 sec f8 (ISO800)! The high contrast isolated the colours on the welder's protective clothing, which makes him look like an astronaut or another creature from outer space.

This is one thumbnail I just had to open. I must admit, I had to look at it for a few seconds before I realized the subject. I like the brilliant colors and the lighting.
Probably not a great idea to take too many of these for your eyes!!! :D

excellent shot, very cool, looking at it makes you think you know what you see, but then somehow you do not anymore...
great composition and pov from above with a terrific mix of bright light and shadow and wonderful strong colors.
