[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Alternative title: The Redhead.

Didn't take much time for photography lately... the weather was kind of greyish and I always found something else to do.
But on a sunny day I'd always bring the camera along on my daily walks with Dingo. On one of these occasions I spotted this cute redhead. He was kind enough to grant me a couple of portraits ;o)

Tech talk

Slight crop.

Lighting conditions: backlight, which causes a few problems... First of all, the backdrop was way too bright, as I metered on the horse. I tackled this with a combination of levels and curves in adjustment layers.

I also tweaked the saturation a bit, as I wanted to emphasize these nice reddish hues.

Nicely captured and well done on saving the image in photoshop.

To determine the exposure of the subject, you are looking for a one stop difference between the the neutral tone/light and the background/light.
With the polarizer, it may have helped, however, a neutral density filter is handy on tough situations like this.

Het lijkt net alsof ze op een damesachtige manier met je staat te praten.
Inderdaad moeilijke lichtcondities, maar diezelfde condities zorgen er wel voor dat haar rode manen erg mooi oplichten.
Heerlijke portret dus.

Lollige knol !
Mooi contrast met de groene, onscherpe, achtergrond.
Dat is een kleur dat ik nog niet veel gezien heb.
Nu ja, ze liggen meestal zachtbruin op m'n bord
en dat geeft direct een ander beeld >:-)
