[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
At the festivities organised for the commemoration of Congo's independanceday, this gentleman insisted I'd take his picture. His instability, the butt dangling from his lips, the bloodshot eyes all indicated he was an addict to one drug and/or another.
After the pictures were taken he didn't bother me any longer and just returned to his chair.

Not my obvious or favorite subject, but when having the chance... why not huh ?
The blue cast is because the sun had just gone down and his shiny skin reflected the blue sky.

Met een stevige dosis flashlight zou je 'm wel wakker gekregen hebben, Walter, en ook nog die blauwe waas hebben vermeden. (De laatste tijd ben ik wat meer pro-flash, althans met een externe. De ingebouwde flash van m'n camera voldoet niet echt, met een externe flash kun je leuke dingen doen.)
Vanboven zit z'n haar vergroeid met de achtergrond, ook dat zou je met wat flash kunnen tackelen. Maar goed, ik begrijp dat je je niet helemaal op je gemak voelde?
