[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Almost two weeks ago today, I met up with Jan and David in the beautiful city of Leuven.

The weather forecast was not that great, but it remained dry throughout the morning. In the afternoon, however, it didn't stop raining :o§

So we were "forced" to sit at a pavement café, under a nice thick XXL-umbrella, chatting, enjoying a couple of nice Belgian Beers, and also something I'm not really used to: taking shots of people as they hurriedly walked by the café.

After my previous post I couldn't resist posting this one: not only for the beautiful girl, but because she didn't use protection at all... from the rain, that is ;o) (I hope it's only that!)

I'm not too satisfied with the umbrella pole, but it happened to be there, and cloning it out is not an option, I'm afraid... but if you want to have a go at it, I'm curious !

Tech talk

Croppity-crop, very slightly.

Adjustment layers for levels and curves.

Downsized and framed with some home distilled PS actions, signed.

Hi Frank,
Very good street photo!I am so sad that you was forced to stay under an umbrella and passing a good time with fresh beers waiting the sun! LOL!
The composition is really in the respect of third rules!
And you rendered nicely their fast walking. Excellent colors! Bravo! Annie

Mooie foto Frank !
( Onderwerp ook :-o )
Goeie DOF, POV, zelfs kleur, ...

( Sorry, even kikker in de keel )

moeten beschermen ... ;-)

Hallo Frank,
Dít is straatfotografie.

This sounds like a wonderful fun way to spend an afternoon. I enjoy 'people watching' so I find this one very interesting. I find the three fists kind of funny :) Good capture with excellent detail and expression. TFS and have a great day!

Hi, Frank,
Nicely conveyed movement.
These young ladies must have been in a hurry.

Valerka:)

It would seem that young ladies in Belgium are like those here Frank, raining and no umbrella or jacket...it just isn't 'cool' so I have been told. Removing the pole would also mean constructing part of a face so I think you were right in leaving it there. Nice solid colour regradless of the light and good detail,
David

Very good photo with a beautiful drive. I think however, that the presence of vertical pole work against your image.
I appreciate the effect of mirror that between these two young girls.

It's a good picture,
Thx.

David

wow! i love the spontaneous action here Frank. nice tracking and DOF

Hello Frank
Wonderful street capture with a great colour and very well composed. I would love to see it in b/w, I believe it worked very well too.
However a great photo with a great mood.
Congrats, mb

ciao Frank..
ehmm.. this is really better than the last.. you have wonderful beauty there! ;))
i really like the focus and stolen expression u have captured! i notice interesting details.. the bag.. the dresses.. the pose.. nice shot indeed!! thanks
ciao Marco

They also look cold the way she is trying to cover her hands with her sweater, tends to apply that,I thought I would have a go at removing the pole Frank, result in workshop, but it blends in with the street scene as is & needn't be rovemoved IMHO.
