You see, plastic can be sensual! Very nice shot.
Tres bien realisee! Michel
Extremely interesting shot! A true Slyvie photo!! I like it a lot really. What a great eye you have to capture what surrounds you. I like the refections game a lot! Actually, I like to do self portraits using mirrows too, maybe that's why I like this one so much, lol!
Congratulations Sylvie! This one absolutely is brilliant!
Ana
This photo tells more about people than a potrait with a living woman (or man). Or maybe doesn't tell about anything from real life? :-))) Surrealistic. Take care Sylvie

bonjour
bravo

You always seem to find something very interesting to shoot. I like the composition and the fact that the model is reflected in the mirror. Nicely seen Sylvie.
Very beautiful, this foto! I liked a lot!
Congratulations!
Carla
Wow, you are breaking new ground. I almost posted a mirror shot today. Now I am not so sure I will post it tomorrow. This is absolutely superb and strangelu sensual which is probably the first time I have ever thought or said that of a dummy. And for once you didn't have to force a tilt - the subject did it for you.

exellent shot!!
bye....tanbinh.
What can I say?:-)
You give the breath of life to this doll. She looks at herself, but the most interesting I find the part arround the stomack where mirror begin with reflection. From this part the doll become two "persons". Two in one...like true love. You know how we can see us in eyes of beloved person. Broken elements gives impression of things that past, but they are our roots, our base. That is what I see here.
I really like this photo Sylvie.
Geniale!
Excellent idea and execution! Great job!
interesting composition.....
i like this photo...
is so great...

Well, you've got to be able to see these kind of pictures, and then you've got to be able to shoot them fast... and you combine these qualities, Sylvie... I think pretty much everything has been said, so I'm not adding anything except a well-earnt smiley. TFS.

Wow, wow Sylvie :) On the thumb i got something was wrong with this image...i mean..a beautiful silhouette of a naked woman was caling our atention in a provocative pose. Well, got it confirmed when i clicked on it ;))
Bravo.
What an absurd and unreal scene,a manikin with human vanity gesture, the most impressive think are her sad eyes, her look seems lost somewhere, cause she is in front of the mirror but don't look to herself.
Great intuition and pic.

Hi, Syvie--
This is a fabulous shot. I have to concur with some of the other comments, it's oddly sensual for a hunk of plastic. Maybe it's the blue eyes. Well done.
Michael
Great shot. This gives room for a lot of different stories. Nice! Nino.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Who in this land is Beautiful of all?
You, my queen, are beautiful; it is true.
But the naked manequin are still
A thousand times Beautiful than you.
You're an eye-catcher, this photo may look simple but it's not at everyone reach...
Well Done
Syl,
I LOVE this image! There are so many small details that make it wonderful. Apart from all the obvious things that everyone's already commented on, here are one or two.
(1) Notice how the corners of the mirror frame are cut off so that (a) the bottom corner doesn't jab into the mannequin's belly, and (b) the top corner makes a nice rest for her arm.
(2) Despite the perfect set up for the mannequin to be staring at herself, she actually isn't, she's looking upward and away from her own image, which I think is great just because it's unexpected. It's as thought she had been looking at herself and then got lost in a daydream.
(3) One detail (the carpet underneath her) makes it seem like she's inside, as though she was in her bedroom, while others (the car and the paving stones) makes it obvious that she's outside.
(4) There is the upside-down frame lying in front of her. Is it another mirror? Is it a painting? A little mystery for the viewer that we will never have an anser for.
So many wonderful little things to discover in an image that is already very strong.
Felicitations! (If that's the right word).
Lee
nice idea:)
I like composition:)
really nice done:)
Very nice picture with good composition. Your POV and the mannequin makes this photo ticks.

sylvie, i'm always amazed at the things your eyes can find to photograph. this is a good example of your attention to life's details.
Pretty in plastic
Very interesting composition.
And she is not even paying attention to herself or the photographer!

What a creative shot! Very nicely done Sylvie. TFS, Vandana
I was looking through themes tonight and came across this shot. It says so many things.
It is almost as if it is speaking of how women feel disposable in todays society. Yet as she is giving up she still looks to see if she has any worth.
Does beauty have any realworth or is it all jsut an illusion.
Composition, lighitng and deatil are all fantastic. Even with everything in the background it doesn't distract in any way.. Seems to be all fitting.
Great photo... You have opened my eyes to beauty where I normally wouldn't see it. Thank you so much for sharing.

i love this image. wow.
What a humane mould of plastic! So ever fascinated by herself... so relaxed and dreamy.
It's an inteersting little detail that the mirror actually distracts her image on the sides, as though confirming that what a mirror shows is never an exact reflection, but always distorted somehow.
Love the compo, that we see both the real and the reflected, as well as the junk around.
I think there's only one thing missing on her - an ipod :)
Great capture, no doubt! Please make more trips to flea markets ;)

Bravissimo,
Cath.
Hi Sylvie,
Wow! What a find.
I wonder, if it is a plastic doll, why we refer to her as female?
Is it only her appearance as a female? Because she isn't even human. Your picture adds the human element very effectively and that is what makes it brilliant!
Bravo!
D
Hi there!
What a superbly innovative shot!
I love the composition, and the details are nice and crisp. Although the image looks a little "busy", I think it is exactly what is needed for this shot.
Well done!
