Two o'clock in the morning, it's time for a "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"... :-)
For some time, fashion is of decorative lights on buildings. The result is not always beautiful, but with the fog that sometimes gives strange atmosphere.
I hope to you will enjoy this picture,
Thx.

Merci. |

Very sci-fi indeed Pierre, I like the way the coloured lights pierce the fog. It almost looks as though there's some huge machine looming.
I don't know if it needed the foreground rooftops and windows though, they could probably be omitted ...?

Hi Pierre,
I like it. I find this subject interesting, though I haven't tried anything with it myself for a long time: mysterious artifical lighting, lots of strange colors and patterns of light and dark. I think it's interesting to see what emotions these can evoke. For example, in the background, the white and blue colors are more cold and alien.
While in the foreground, the warmer tones I find almost welcoming. There's something nastalgic about them. When I was a kid, I would stay overnight at a friend's place a few houses down. From his back yard, I could see the light coming from the kitchen window of my own home. It was a pleasant feeling that I have never forgotten.
Maybe I like these kinds of photos because they convey everything with light: it's color, intensity, direction, quality. There is little detail. It's all patterns of light and dark and what can be accomplished with them.
Enjoyed the photo Pierre.

Ciao Pierre
An interesting post to be studied each
part, each piece of the scene and comment.
Interesting your point of view in this scene,
the mysterious light, the mystery that it involves you
the mist the leaves as a film for Sci-fi and fearful.
The quality of picture is good, shows a direction, and certainly appreciable!
Undoubtedly a good shooting night and full of mystery.
Excellent taste and well composed!
Greetings!

Bonjour Pierre,
Odile
