Very expressive, all cuddled up, nice shot! I like how structural it is, studs and beams and arches... I appreciate that you captured something that is not an obvious theme.

The pic tempts me to experiment with a tighter crop, but it would only be worthwhile with the original hi-res pic.

What a bizzare looking .. thing ? .. the nice macro is sharp, clear and well exposed - and shallow DOF makes this alien stand out. Nicely done Marleen. .... Sam

That's quite a fascinating um... seedpod?... and a lovely shot. I'd expect it to spontaneously release and fire seeds everywhere!

Hi Marleen,
An amazing macro shot, where you take well use of the lighting to create interesting effects! Do I see what it is?? No way! And I don't mind... Maybe I'd do some cloning on the blown-outs on top, kind of distracting?

You are right: interesting time in nature. Through my just started photography-hobby it is as if I see it for the first time!
Wonderfull things happen and I'm part of it.
Your picture is such a secret of local changes, just walking by; it is happening.
It is again a sunny day; you inspired me to walk the dog armed with camera.
