[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Spiritual part of the ethno village Stanisici

This whole takes us back far deeper in time. It is made up of replicas of different places which belong to Orthodox tradition. It is linked to the secular part of the village with a big stone bridge which is a replica of the Goat Bridge in Sarajevo.


When you cross the bridge, you get to the Baptistry which was built on the model of a small church in Alaska.


At the heart of this part is the monastery of St Nicolas, with the parts of relics of St Nicolas and tzar Uros. This is a replica of the monastery Kumanice founded by the Nemanjic family.

Next to the monastery is the monastery house (konak), an outstanding example of medieval architecture.

Hi Zorica, Very intteresting architecture. Is the precise oreplica, or a bit less/ the monastery seems rather small. Nice symmetrical composition. Beautiful colours
