[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken yesterday morning at a small harbour in Balchik. The rising sun was pointing its rays towards the boat and it really gave me a joyful feeling (Gioia means Joy in Italian, as far as I know).

Applied Auto contrast and resized.

Please give me feedback on the following things, which I have doubts about:
1. Do you think the part of the boat just below the sign is overexposed? If yes, what could I do at the time of taking the photo (not at post-processing) to avoid it?
2. Is it better to keep the buoy at the left, or should I remove it?

Hi Evgenia, splendid sea composition with lovely boats, wonderful colors, great landscape, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Evgenia,
I like this! Lovely composition, I love all the different boats and masts. The soft colours are nice and the reflections are great. TFS Cheers Tina :-)

Bonita imagen. Estupenda presentación Evgenia, con unos colores muy suaves. Un saludo, JL.

Hi Evgenia,

It's a good shot, composition and light are nice.
I can't say about the part of boat "slighly" overexposed because i'm not expert.
On the other hand, it is important to keep the buoy, because this red point makes a great composition and have the same colours as the roof of the boat.
I think that the horizon line is tilted on the right side...
Anyway, it's a good work
Best regards
Pascal

Hello Evgenia I like your composition here. The horizon is a little tilted, but the colours and lighting are good. It does look like morning too with the subtle colours. TFS
Janice

Merhaba Evgenia.
Very nice composition here, I like it light and reflections.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Happy Birthday :O)

Yasin.

hello Evgenia,
this is a lovely sharp photograph.
Good composition and reflections.

I think you should keep the buoy, it is helping the composition. The overexposure may be helped when shooting by metering - however in this case, personally I don't think it's too much of a big deal. White objects can be quite tricky to meter for in direct sunlight as looks to be the case here. Because you have other parts of the scene to keep in mind (so that you do not have under-exposure in those parts)

Anyway, I like the photograph ;-)

Best regards, Daniel.
