[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Nympheum is part of the Botanical Garden in Balchik. It was built in the period between 1924-1936 in the yard of the Quiet Nest Palace of the Romanian Queen.
In general, the Nympheum is considered to be a sanctuary of the nymphs, who were honored as deities of spring and healing water. The cult of the nymphs was spread among the Thracians long before the arrival of the Romans. The water was lead with special clay pipes and it was used for healing as well as for heating.

Hi Evgenia, great architecture with wonderful perspective, very well done, best wishes for 8th march, ciao Silvio

Hello Evgenia,
A pleasant architectural image. I only wonder whether the Nympheum still is used as a botanical garden currently? The columns and arches are beautifully defined and this place must be beautiful in its prime. Good work. Best regards. Danilo
