[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot is taken around 7:30 in the morning. The sun has almost arised, and the street lamps were still on. This lamp attracted my attention because of the different saturation of light. I don't know what the reason for that is.

Cropped, added Auto contrast, added frame, resized.

A street light, lamp post, street lamp, light standard or lamp standard, is a raised source of light on the edge of a road, turned on or lit at a certain time every night. Modern lamps may also have light-sensitive photocells to turn them on at dusk and off at dawn, or activate automatically in dark weather.
Before incandescent lamps, gas lighting was employed. The earliest lamps required that a lamplighter tour the town at dusk, lighting each of the lamps, but later designs employed ignition devices that would automatically strike the flame when the gas supply was activated.
Today, street lighting commonly uses high-intensity discharge lamps, often HPS high pressure sodium lamps. Such lamps provide the greatest amount of Photopic illumination for the least consumption of electricity. However when Scotopic/Photopic light calculations are used, it can been seen how inappropriate HPS lamps are for night lighting. White light sources have been shown to double driver peripheral vision and increase driver brake reaction time at least 25%. When S/P light calculations are used HPS lamp performance needs to reduced by a minimum value of 75%.

Clever subject. I like how the light differs between the two lamps. Well done.

Evgenia,
Good use of light on this simple subject. The golden hour in the morning is my favorite time of the day! You handled capturing the light perfectly, it's subtle yet a dominating aspect of this photo.
Nicely done,
Scott
