| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The place is the same as my last shot posted here. It is situated a few kilometers north-east from Kardzhali. Rhodopes mountain. Volcanic rock massif near the village of Shiroko Polet, 5 miles from Kardzhali. The walls around the rock plateau are 150 feet to 360 feet high. On the top are the remnants of the medieval fortress Monyak, where the brother of King Baldwin was crowned.
At this point of view You can see Studen Kladenets dam (big water) and where the Varbitsa river run into (left side - sandy alluvium).

I just mixed a few different B&W filters in Adobe Photoshop CS3 - infrared, green filter and high contrast red filter. |

This photo is awesome and I SO would love to see it in COLOR! I'll bet it would work better there, because sometimes in a landscape, BW just gets to be a pattern! But I LOVE the comp, the wonderful light on the water! WOW! Please post the color version, if you can in WS! I'd LOVE to see it!
