Another photograph taken in the peaceful village of Galabovo high in the Rodope Mountains. A typical scene of quaint wobbly roofs and buildings under the bright sunshine on the longest day of the year!

RAW - one shot and 2 exposures made slightly over and under the original shot and then the 3 combined as an HDR.

1/90 @f7.1 (shame on me for not setting a smaller aperture for DOF - I always tell myself to check before I shoot but totally forgot this time around. Luckily at 14mm focal length the DOF is adequate at f7.1) ISO200 and +0.7 EV

Nice sharp detail. I like the pov, and I find the rooftops and the stone fence interesting. I wonder if that roof leaks at all (?) Very nice colors and textures. TFS

Hi David,
Beautifully exposed shot, nice subtle HDR approach. The builders must have been a tad drunk on this day ;). Great colours, and very fine details. Nice shooting.

TFS,
Scott.

Again the same similarity, it seems as if i have been to this place many times... every mountain house is the same, i wonder how they got to learn making same structures.. I feel our ancestors learnt the techniques together.

this is a fine sharp and well detailed shot
good dof and pov
nice perspective
good light too
thanks for sharing

Hi David

I really like this kind of shot of daily life.
So simple so modest.
The pov is also well seen. Great perspective.
A nice tribute to this so kind and lovely Bulgarian village.
Very good work

Best regards

Hi David,

I love those roofs the look as if they were built that way as the ridge doesn't seem to be broken. The pov is very good great colours and sharp details well done.

Regards
Jon

Hi David !
Interesting image!
Made and played exceptional.
Super colors!
Have a nice day,
Adrian

Nice! Great colors, great POV.
Something about this leading edge of the stone wall, and the little wooden pickets that looks almost 3D to me - maybe it's just me! An effect of the wide angle? Cool effect, whatever it is.
Nice job.

Hi David,
I like the shape of the roofs, the old stone wall or dyke as they say in Scotland, balances well with their curves. I also like that they are in their own shadows. Nice details of the roof material as well as the cottage's exterior wood & plaster. Was the +0.7 to componsate for the polarizer?

Cheers

Ron

Hello David.
Well captured shot here.
Good looking detalis and SIGMA 10-20 did a good job here.
I have similar things sometime with the camera setting. DOn`t worry ;)

Hello David, I like the composition with the building and the stone wall going diagonally across the shot. The building with its 'wobbly' roof was well worth a shot.
Lots of details to enjoy.
Tfs, regards Jean.

One of these forgotten and anonymous places somwhere in the midlle of nowhere,it looks pretty hot and desolated David,it seems you did a nice little walk in the country;]
These kind of spots are the most interesting everywhere in the world
jan

Interesting cloud formations in the background. I like the effect of the angles of the stonewall and the roofs.

HI David
The sunlight really brings out the texture of the roof and fence giving an artistic look the the shot. Nicely composed.
