[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
River Mesta (ancient Nestos) starts as a stream in Bulgaria and ends in Greece in the Aegean sea. Along the river bed runs a road from where I took the photo. The rock intrigued me, but much more intrigued me the lonely house or rather a shack down in the river bed. Weren't it's inhabitants afraid of the spring high waters?..

The reddish hills in front start the western slopes of Rhodope Mountain. It's ancient name is of the same Indo-European origin as the words "red", "rose", "rust"...
