Just before moving onto the outdoor dance floor, these ladies let out a cheer. I used some post processing to reduce the distractions in the background.

In this kind of shot it is always difficult to avoid distractions. Your PP work really brings out the subjects, but maybe some more desaturation would have worked too. A very colourful subject, Dan. TFS

great picture dan!
i've been dancing in a folk ensemble for quite a while now, and i must say i love the costumes you show here. the girls seem to be really enjoying themselves, which is probably the most important! good positioning, and good use of natural light to your advantage, i know how hard it is to take a picture of a performance.
